We are currently recruiting for the for the following position.
Community Centre Manager
Location : Great Ashby Community Centre, Whitehorse Lane, Great Ashby, Stevenage, SG1 6NH
Hours : Part time – 27.5 to 30 hours per week over 5 days, agreed at appointment.
You will also be a key holder for the centre and will be expected to be able to respond to occasional call outs by hirers, in the evenings and at weekends.
Salary : £15.00 per hour
Great Ashby Community Centre Management Association (GACCMA) is a registered charity (charity number 1117362) that runs the Great Ashby Community Centre in Great Ashby, Stevenage.
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, hard-working and enthusiastic individual to take on the day to day administration, maintenance and security involved in the running of our modern and well-used community centre.
We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to problem solve effectively under the pressure of competing priorities.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and social media platforms including Facebook is essential, as are basic administration skills. Experience of working in a community or customer focussed setting is desirable. Familiarity with Kashflow software is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Preference will be given to people who live within a 15-minute journey to the centre, as emergency call outs may require urgent attendance.
The successful candidate will be passionate about good customer service and be flexible to the centre’s needs. They must also be entitled to work in the UK and will need to undergo a DBS check.
