If you are looking for a place to hold a one-off event, then one of our halls may be just the venue you are looking for! We hire our halls on Saturday afternoons for all manner of events; parties, wedding receptions, baby showers, to name but a few.

Please note that due to regular bookings in our halls, we are unable to offer event hire for weekday afternoons or evenings. We also no longer offer event hire on Saturday evenings or on Sundays.

If you are looking for a venue that can accomodate a Sunday or an evening event, why not try one of the other Community Centres in Stevenage?

Saturday afternoon events

On Saturday afternoons we offer a 4 hour or a 5 hour afternoon event session.

All sessions start at 1pm.
4 hour sessions run from 1pm to 5pm.
5 hour sessions run from 1pm to 6pm.

This is the total hire session and must include time for setting up and clearing away. If you are in any doubt as to how long it will take to clear up after your event, it may be safest to book a 5 hour session to ensure that you have cleared up and left the building by the end of your session time.  Anyone starting earlier or staying later than their booked time will incur an additional fee of £25 per half-hour or part thereof.

Security deposits

A Security Deposit of £250 is payable with the hire charge at the time of booking. This is returnable after the event should all the terms and conditions of hire be adhered to.

Additional information

Please note that we are unable to take bookings for parties for birthdays between 12 and 21 years of age.

Our terms and conditions for hire are provided at the time of booking and are available beforehand on request.

For operational reasons, we open bookings roughly two months in advance.

For events after April 2026, bookings will open in late February/early March.
