2007 saw the Great Ashby Community Centre handed over to the Management Association, a charity made up of members of the Great Ashby community.
After the success of the Fun Day during the summer, it was decided that we should have a winter time event.
This was also a perfect opportunity to raise funds for the charity.
We thought that a New Year's Eve party would be the ideal time for a community event and a fantastic end to our first year running the centre.
This should be an ideal opportunity to have fun, do something as a community and not have to find a taxi on New Year's Eve! With limited car parking and wishing to discourage drinking and driving, it it hoped that most people will walk to and from the event.
There will be live music from "The Shakers", a DJ spinning his discs, a delicious buffet and a cash bar offering real ale, lager, wine and soft drinks.
With so many people expected we'll be holding the event in a marquee as well as the main hall.
The celebration will be an over 18s only event, with a dress code of "Party wear, dress to impress" (i.e. no jeans or trainers).
Entry will be strictly by wristband only, which you will receive upon payment.
